About the Winter Immersion Camp

Anishinabe language, culture, a talent show, traditional dinner, outdoor winter games, beading classes and much more are the high lights of this years Winter Immersion Camp.


Friday, January 10th, (5pm) Dinner, (6pm) Culture and Language Learning with Gene Goodsky, (7pm) Traditional Anishinaabe storytelling with Karen Drift/Billy Blackwell, (8pm) Talent show

Saturday, January 11th (10am) Brunch, Culture and Language with Gabe Desrosiers/Darrell Kingbird, (Noon-3pm) Moccasin games, beading classes, Ojibwe outdoor winter games (4pm) Language with Gabe Desrosiers, Darrell Kingbir and Wayne Valliere (5pm) Traditional dinner. (6pm) Traditional Anishinaabe Winter Storytelling. (8pm) Mini Pow-Wow by Bois Forte Singers

Sunday January 12th (10am) Brunch, Ojibwe Culture and language with Gabe Desorosiers (noon) Traveling song and closing prayer
