DESCRIPTION:Join us for Music\, Food and Family Fun outdoors in Beautiful Nett Lake\, Minnesota.  KBFT 89.9FM has been serving the community of Nett Lake and the Bois Forte Tribal membership for 14 years.  Reclaiming the sovereign airwave of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa since June 8th\, 2011 at exactly 4:03pm.  Since then it has been a growing experience in meeting challenges on many fronts to maintain a continuous 24 hour\, 365 day a year operation.  Of course KBFT features music\, community updates\, and programming of interest to our Native American population.  KBFT’s mission has been to share a glimpse of our community interests with our neighbors near and far while maintaining a link to our families and relatives all over the world through our online streaming service.  When you listen to KBFT you are listening to Native America.  We are proud of our people\, our customs\, traditions and hold precious knowledge handed down and  given by our elders.  In today’s world we are faced with challenges and choices that will define our community and it is KBFT’s mission to assist in sharing this knowledge while we progress and make a way forward for generations yet to come.  We invite you as listeners and supporters to learn more about what we do here at KBFT and the outreach we do as part of building community.

Don’t miss this opportunity to see an incredible lineup of featured artists across four cities! \nRangers will be launching the debut of their brand new CD titled “Rangers”.  A collaboration featuring nine songwriters from the Iron Range of northern Minnesota\, the project was produced by 7-time Native American Music Award Winner Keith Secola and recorded by Rich Mattson at his lauded studio in Sparta\, MN\, where artists like Trampled By Turtles\, Dan Israel and Martin Devaney have recorded.
