Jim's latest book is about a young man returning from the Vietnam War and becomes a deputy sheriff. The main character finds the negative racism he faces is quite an obstacle and moves on to other jobs in his effort to find a place to 'fit in'.

    Dr. Linda LeGard Grover is a member of the Bois Forte Band and award winning author. Linda was named the recipient of the 2011 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for her short story collection 'The Dance Boots.' This same book also won the 2009 Flannery O'Connor Award. Linda's latest work 'The Road back to sweetgrass', received the 2008 Native Writers Cirlce of the Americas First Book Award. Dr. Grover has other published works that have won awards as well.
