Bois Forte Community Radio is owned and operated by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa. KBFT is a non-commercial educational radio station licensed by the Federal Com-munications Commission. At 1000 Watts (1Kwt) KBFT’s signal radios reaches out to a 8 to 12 mile radius with a fringe reach of 20 miles.
