Boise Forte Band of ChippewaKBFT is owned and operated by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa. Bois Forte is a Federally recognized American Indian reservation in North Central Minnesota. Established by Presidential order in the Treaty of 1854, 1866 and 1881 and is composed of three sections: Nett Lake, Lake Vermilion & Deer Creek

Bois Forte Tribal Community Radio is licensed by the FCC as a Non-Commercial Educational station. Bois Forte Tribal Community Radio originates it’s programming on the campus of the Nett Lake School in Nett Lake, Minnesota and broadcasts its signal at 89.9Mhz on the FM dial at 1000 Watts from it’s broadcast antenna atop the Nett Lake water tower. KBFT 89.9FM, Bois Forte Tribal Community Radio is owned and operated by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa.
