DIABETES & PREDIABETES: WHAT CAN WE DO?
July 18 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Have you or someone you love been impacted by diabetes?
Members of the American Indian community living in Greater Minnesota (outside of the Twin Cities Metro area) are invited to participate in a 90-minute community listening session hosted by the Minnesota Department of Health and KA Nicholas Consulting.
We invite you to share your ideas, experiences, and wisdom with each other, as well as the Department of Health, to help address issues that get in the way of community wellness.
When and where will the conversation be held?
The conversation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm on Zoom. We have a lot to discuss and will start promptly at 6:00 pm. Join the meeting any time between 5:45 -6:00 pm to get settled.
What are the benefits and risks of participation?
You will be mailed a $50 VISA gift card for participating. You will hear from other American Indians living in Greater Minnesota about the resources they’re accessing in the community. The risks to you include any distressing feelings you experience discussing the topic of diabetes, how it has impacted you, and those that you love.
Interested in Participating?
People ages 16 and older are welcome. If you would like to participate, please sign up ahead of time. Space is limited. Click here American Indian virtual listening session registration (google.com) or scan the QR code on the attached poster.
