Interesting facts

Hammers are one of humanity’s oldest tools, dating back to the Stone Age, around 3.3 million years ago. Early humans used large stones without handles to strike nearby objects, which archaeologists have discovered in modern-day Kenya and other African locations. The creation of the hammer was likely a result of necessity and survival, and it has been an integral part of the development of nearly all human societies. For example, the Ancient Egyptians used hammers to build the Great Pyramids, the Sphynx, and the Valley of the Kings.
