The CDC, Center for Disease Control, has announced some changes for people who are exposed to COVID.
EVERYONE, regardless of Vaccination status, who is exposed to someone who is COVID positive for LONGER than 15 minutes, closer than 6 feet, will NO LONGER NEED TO QUARANTINE AT HOME! Yay! Please keep reading below…
NEW EXPOSURE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM CDC
- Put a MASK on, as soon as you find out you were exposed, if you are around people outside of your household. You will be asked to wear the mask for 10 days after the date of exposure with ALL contacts with people outside of your household. You will need to avoid any activity when you can not stay masked, including eating in a public place or with others during the full 10 days.
- TEST AT DAY 5 AFTER EXPOSURE, SOONER IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS. If you are positive you will need to IMMEDIATELY ISOLATE AT HOME and call Teri Morrison, 218-750-2227, your workplace or your medical provider for directions. If you are negative, you will be required to continue wearing the mask through day 10 after exposure.

This is good news, but this will only stop the spread of COVID if people who are exposed wear a mask as directed for the full 10 days. Please continue to keep our highest risk populations safe. If you have questions, please feel free to call or email me.
Miigwech and be safe!
