    Jim is a poet, author and newspaper columnist with awards for journalism, fiction and creative non-fiction. Jim has published a column 'The Fond Du Lac Follies for 25 years. Jim's latest book is about a young man returning from the Vietnam War and becomes a deputy sheriff. The main character finds the negative racism he faces is quite an obstacle and moves on to other jobs in his effort to find a place to 'fit in'.

    Keith grew up in northern minnesota and loves to be back home, helping other native artist in their efforts to express and develop their talents through writing and music. Keith still has the first guitar he ever bought and treats it as a special item to be cherished still today.

  • Linda LeGarde Grover

    Dr. Linda LeGard Grover is a member of the Bois Forte Band and award winning author. Linda was named the recipient of the 2011 Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize for her short story collection 'The Dance Boots.' This same book also won the 2009 Flannery O'Connor Award. Linda's latest work 'The Road back to sweetgrass', received the 2008 Native Writers Cirlce of the Americas First Book Award. Dr. Grover has other published works that have won awards as well.

    Micco hopes that sharing his skill, knowledge and talent as a Hoop Dancer will help inspire others in their creative efforts, whether those efforts be in dance, music, writing or other avenue of expression. Micca is also a writer among his many talents.

  • Rocky Makes Room For Them

    Rocky, an author, among his other talents, provides some of his personal history and how this affects his writings. Rocky's poetry describes the community of Duluth, Minnesota, while some parts are true, he also discloses that some parts are not true but in all, provide a perspective he has developed over time.
