Monday, January 8, 2024 – Young leaders take on big challenges

The five members of the new Champions for Change class from the Center for Native American Youth have an inspiring resume already. They have demonstrated leadership in areas like health and wellness, performing arts, science, and policy research. We’ll hear from them and find out what drives their passion to make positive things happen.

Jeidah DeZurney (Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians), 2024 Champion for Change

Ian Teller (Diné), aspiring entertainment entrepreneur

Tayler Tanginiq Higgins (Seldovia Village tribal member and Cook Inlet Region Corporation shareholder), student at University of Alaska Anchorage

Sage Phillips (citizen of the Penobscot Nation), graduate assistant at the University of Connecticut’s Native American Cultural Programs
